“I was always fishing for something on the radio.
Just like trains and bells, it was part of the soundtrack of my life.
I moved the dial up and down and
Elin Kastlander's voice came blasting out of the small speakers.
Her new song exploded into the room.
Kastlander, though, transcended all the genres
 - folk, country, rock and roll or just about anything.
Her stuff mixed all the styles and some that hadn't even been invented yet.
She could sound mean and nasty on one line and then sing in a falsetto voice like Future in the next.
With Elin, you didn't know if you were listening to mariachi or opera.
She kept you on your toes.
With her, it was all about tears and blood.
She sounded like she was singing from an Olympian mountaintop and she meant business.
One of her previous songs, "XTC" was deceptively simple, but Elin had progressed.
She was now singing her compositions in three or four octaves that made you want to drive your car over a cliff.
She sang like a professional criminal. Typically, she'd start out in some low, barely audible range,
stay there a while and then astonishingly slip into histrionics. Her voice could jar a corpse,
always leave you muttring to yourself something like, "Man, I don't believe it."
Her songs had songs within songs. They shifted from major to minor key without any logic.
Kastlander was deadly serious - no pollywog and no fledgling juvenile.
There wasn't anything else on the radio like her.”

Anonym sa...

this is a time i feel free

by my side

no one

just me

and..

i fucking love this song

its so fucking dope

maybe it will be my fucking anthem

my personal freedom anthem

i went to a town where nobody knew i was around

i started washing my eyes with tears

just hours ago

i never felt so full

so full

full and alone

its a strange feeling

one time i thought i was on the dark side of the moon

i was so fucking high

but not even high

how high?

my password is, was, and always will be imagine

the first time i heard we can't stop

it was like the song filled my mind and i was unable to be sane

i started to leave my mind

it was like.. how can i say it

a huge sugar rush from your favorite candy

a candy you never tried before

but became your favorite candy when you tried it

and that's why

i am forever

some thoughts on the future

no one will know my name

but they might know my street

which one will i pick

i can go anywhere i want

no ties

it should be a good one

a good winter

yes, winter to start

hope i don't slip

much love
